Andrew N. Liveris AO is the former Chairman, President and CEO of The Dow Chemical Company and Executive Chairman of DowDuPont Inc. A trusted adviser to world leaders including President Trump and President Biden, he co-chaired the Build Together Coalition that successfully advocated for the $1.2 trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Mr. Liveris currently serves as a Director of IBM, Saudi Aramco, Lucid Motors and the Hevolution Foundation, Deputy Chairman of Worley, an Adviser to Salesforce and NEOM, and President of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee.

Prior to joining Global AI as a Board Member, Mr. Liveris served as Chairman, President and CEO of The Dow Chemical Company for over 14 years, and subsequently as Executive Chairman of DowDuPont Inc. During his 42-year tenure at Dow, he held roles spanning manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing, and general management across global operations. He also served as a Special Advisor to the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and is a Trustee of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and the United States Council for International Business. He additionally serves on the Advisory Boards of Salesforce, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Teneo, and NEOM.
Andrew N. Liveris AO is one of the most accomplished industrial leaders of his generation. Born in Darwin, Australia, to a family of Greek heritage from the island of Kastellorizo, he earned a Bachelor of Engineering with First-Class Honours and the University Medal in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland.
Mr. Liveris joined The Dow Chemical Company in 1976, beginning a career that would span 42 years across manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing, and executive leadership. He was named President and CEO in 2004 and Chairman in 2006, becoming Dow's longest-serving CEO. During his more than 14-year tenure, he transformed Dow from a cyclical chemicals manufacturer into a science-driven, innovation-led enterprise β highlighted by the landmark $16.2 billion acquisition of Rohm and Haas in 2008 and the subsequent merger with DuPont to form DowDuPont Inc., where he served as Executive Chairman until his retirement in July 2018.
A trusted adviser at the highest levels of government, Mr. Liveris served as an adviser to both President Trump and President Biden, and co-chaired the Build Together Coalition that successfully advocated for the $1.2 trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act signed into law in 2021.
Today, Mr. Liveris serves as a Director of IBM, Saudi Aramco, Lucid Motors, and the Hevolution Foundation. His honors include appointment as an Officer of the Order of Australia (2014), the Padma Shri Award from the President of India (2016), the Ellis Island Medal of Honor (2019), the George E. Davis Medal from the Institution of Chemical Engineers, and the Legend in Leadership Award from the Yale Chief Executive Leadership Institute. In 2018, Andrew and his wife Paula donated $13.5 million to the University of Queensland to establish the Andrew N. Liveris Academy for Innovation and Leadership.
