Michael J. Cadigan is a veteran technology executive whose career spans more than four decades in the semiconductor industry, with the majority of his leadership journey shaped inside IBM’s global microelectronics, manufacturing, and supply-chain operations.
earned his mechanical engineering degree from the University at Buffalo in 1979
Mike now serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Global AI, where he brings his deep semiconductor, supply-chain, and advanced-manufacturing experience to the next generation of sovereign AI infrastructure.
Mike joined IBM, where he advanced quickly into management roles across product engineering, manufacturing, fulfillment, and semiconductor operations. Over the years, he built a reputation for operational discipline, technology insight, and the ability to lead large, complex organizations through periods of industry transition. Mike held a series of senior leadership positions that expanded his scope across IBM’s global hardware and microelectronics ecosystem. He oversaw IBM’s OEM microelectronics business, directed internal manufacturing and worldwide fulfillment operations, and managed IBM’s global outsourced manufacturing partnerships. His mandate spanned everything from technology enablement to supply-chain continuity, giving him a deep understanding of semiconductor development, commercialization, and high-volume manufacturing.
